I have become a big fan of Dwele. His song Free As A Bird, does justice while Love Ultra and If You Want To must have an honorable mention. The album is so good, you want 5 Dolla Mic and 70's to be songs as well. I ran to the first record store and picked it up as soon as I could. This album should be off the charts. Once again, this new school crooner has hit the mark. I have heard all his work and I know his vibe to be exquisite however, I had no idea that he had a recent album until I came across one at my friend's house. My favorite is a mix between Vain and Travelin Girl.
His album is full of soul, old school and new. I loved I'm cheatin, but that is not the song I loved most on the album. Oh that good music could once again be put in the hands of the public again. I look forward to hearing more of his work in the future and hope that Dwele hangs in there for many albums to come.
Dwele, now I understand while you are not smiling on your CD cover. More exciting next time. The others sound like fillers.
Amateur and flat beats, synthetic sounding instruments, scatterbrained and random words layed over drum machine tracks. Write stronger material. I felt the same way after listening to this lame effort at production and very weak lyrical content.I've grooved to your previous releases, but what happened with this one.
Fire the producers. Just had a lazy feel to it this time around. I'm Cheatin' is the only one that shines for me.
Downright boring and redundant flow man, come on. Maybe a smile.
Oh My Gosh. this CD from first song til last keeps you going. I love how layered this CD is and how each song really tells a story. Cheating is truly poetry set to music.
This guy is amazing. His style is like no other. I rated this CD a five, but it's really off the charts. Everything Dwele is associated with is outstanding.
I was so mad that I truly thought about suing Dwele for the mess he created.Dwele has a style of telling stories which I appreciate. I so looked forward to this CD. If this is Sketches of a Man then he should not be allowed to draw. However, nothing he said in this album made sense and a lot of the songs were stupid.I haven't given up on him. I stalked the release date for weeks. I was beyond disappointed with what was produced. I pray the next album give me what I was looking for. In the meantime, just walk pass this CD and never look back.
